Marketplace & Plugins
Most of what Kestrel can do beyond the core CAD is modular. Rather than shipping everything switched on, an admin turns on only the plugins their community actually wants from Admin → Marketplace.
Browsing the marketplace
The marketplace catalogue has a search box and a category filter to help you find what you're looking for. Open any plugin's listing to see:
- Its description and what it does.
- What permissions it needs to run.
- Its release notes.
- Any other plugins it depends on.
Installing and managing a plugin
From a plugin's listing:
- Install — the plugin becomes available to your community, usually starting enabled.
- Disable — turns the plugin off without losing its configuration. Re-enabling it later picks up right where you left off.
- Uninstall — removes the plugin entirely.
tip
A plugin marked Required by Kestrel is core to the platform and can't be disabled or removed.
Where a plugin has settings, they're a plain form — text fields, numbers, toggles, dropdowns. No special skill is needed to configure one.
What's available today
| Plugin | What it does |
|---|---|
| Information | Reference-data catalogues your community customizes: 10-codes, priorities, call types, disposition codes, penal codes, warrant types, evidence categories, and locations. |
| Configuration | Additional shared catalogues (currently BOLO severity levels and warrant types). |
| Police | Records, warrants, citations, arrests, BOLOs, and field contacts. A non-police community can disable this entirely. |
| Notes Widget | A simple shared sticky-note board for your org. |
| Civilian Services | Tow & Recovery, Coroner/Medical Examiner, DOT/Highway Services, and Network Engineer support-service jobs. See Civilian Services. |
| FiveM Integration | The connection between your FiveM server and Kestrel: linking, live map/waypoint sync, duty sync, and in-game safety checks. See Setting Up Your Community. |
| Discord Integration | Posts BOLO, warrant, arrest, and Priority-1-call alerts to a Discord channel you choose, through a bot Kestrel manages — you never need your own Discord bot or credentials. |
| Communications | Signal-quality simulation infrastructure (towers, zones, coverage) behind the in-game radio-signal HUD. See Radio & Communications. |
| Forms | A drag-and-drop builder for your own custom operational paperwork. See Forms. |
| Radio | Real two-way voice talkgroups. See Radio & Communications. |
| Nexus | Investigations and case-linking for detectives. See Nexus (Investigations). |
